Howard Patterson is a founding member of the Flying Karamazov Brothers
musical juggling comedy theatre troupe.  He's on the road about 2/3s of the
time;  when home, he devotes himself to large projects like the massive
backyard restructuring, and to daily practices like yoga and weightlifting,
and very loud and peculiar vocal and baritone horn excercises (the sound is
faint in the rest of the house, they say.)  He makes a hell of a stir fry,
and is learning to cook some other things, too.  He is prone to wear a kilt
on the slimmest of excuses. Not too often, though.

Seiza de Tarr is married to Howard, and is the mother of Jasper and Gavriel.
Seiza is a drug and alcohol counselor by trade, currently looking for a job.
She has been taking care of her elderly father, a victim of dementia, for many
years. Her father has just entered an Alzheimer's facility, thereby vacating his rooms.
That's why we need another household member, to live in the rooms he left.

Gavriel de Tarr is fourteen and simultaneously attending Grant High School and
MLC (Metropolitan Learning Center). Gavi plays the trumpet and electric guitar
and likes to compose music. He plays computer games whenever possible.

Jasper Patterson is eighteen and not home very much because he is attending
Bard College in upstate New York. He is studying theater, among other things
there. He comes home for winter break and the summer.

Maggie de Tarr is a dog, a cairn terrier, to be specific. She is a direct descendent of
Terry, the dog that played Toto in the Wizard of Oz. In fact, she looks just like Toto.
She is nine, a canine dowager.
